Village called Kozlovice was founded in 1294. Kozlovice was residence of Valach's chiefs, during colonizationist by Valach nation in Hukvaldy domain.
At the time there were many chalets in neighbourhood of Kozlovice. History of lifes, Wars and rebellions of local nation you can find in novels "Jednou za slunovratu, Valašský vojvoda, Zbojníci a Živly" which were written by B.Četyna.
Village lies on place 21,09 km2 and is divided to two parts Kozlovice and Měrkovice.

Our village you can find bottom of sierra named Beskydy, on route between Frýdek-Místek and Frenštát p.R. River Ondřejnice flows across the village. Neighbouring villages are Myslík, Palkovice, Lhotka, Pstruží, Kunčice p.O., Tichá, Mniší, Hukvaldy-Sklenov.
There's no railway, connection is secured by buses.
Village has duct and its own cleaner of drossy water. Natural gas leads across the village.
Citizens of Kozlovice do many sports, from football to ski jumping (there's even jamper's bridge, where the championship "Beskydy Cup" is realized every year. This sports, you can do at football pitch, clay court (volleyball), multi-functional playing area, gyms and in winter on local piste.
There are also some culture activities. Two ethnographic choruses are operating here: children's Valášek and Valašský Vojvoda. Local theatrical amateurs are practicing some dramas periodically. Great czech composer Leoš Janáček was attending Kozlovice in past, and collecting some materials for his opuses.
